Triglycerides
Description:
Description: Triglycerides are a type of lipids (fat). Your body gets triglycerides from fats in the food you eat and it can also make triglycerides in the liver. The Trigyceride test will measure the level of triglycerides in your blood. An ideal triglyceride level is 150 mg/dL or less. A level between 150 and 199 mg/dL is borderline high. A level of 200 mg/dL is high. A significant deviation from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.
Includes:
Triglycerides, serum
Patient Instructions: Patient should fast for 12-14 hours before collection of the specimen.
