Progesterone

Description: Progesterone is a hormone naturally secreted by the ovary during the menstrual cycle. The Progesterone Test is used to measure ovarian function and can determine if a woman has ovulated and when the ovulation occurred.

In males, progesterone increases levels of testosterone in your body and enhances its effects. It also reduces estrogen and its effects.

A significant deviation from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.
